In the ongoing sober home takedown, an 11th arrest has been made in Palm Beach County. The offense is client brokering. Some halfway houses are sending their clients to treatment centers they have “arrangements” with in exchange for cash money. These kick backs can be thought of as “brokerage fees” . . . or “illegal.” Both parties have pled not guilty. These are the type of people who will make it impossible for insurance to cover the crucial costs of your desperate recovery needs. We acknowledge that there are halfway houses that you simply go live in, pay your rent, practice basic 12-step rules, and don’t get drug tested 5 times a week just to bill your insurance.  Florida is taking action against the people who are capitalizing off the sick and suffering. Eleven down, a lot more to go!
